New Year's Eve and NYDay 2010

Exactly 1 decade after Jen and I got engaged....

We had a nice, quiet New Year's eve with nothing fun.... oh, except:
* Drew and I cooked all 12/31 and presented a multi-course authentic-style Mexican meal complete with homemade pico de galo, Nopales (cactus paddle app), Pozole soup (chicken, chile sauce etc), calabacitas (zukes), tacos de pescado with homemade chipolte mayo, etc. Desert: homemade meringue cups made in my new 580W 6QT kitchen aid mixer, coffee ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce (based on one whole 100% cocoa bar).
* Dined with Jen, Garson, Jasper, Drew, Adriana, Adam, BennyTeddy, Michele and later joined by Beck and her dude Mark.
* Up and having fun (including intense spit game) until ~2:30a
* Today, New Years Day 2010, served brunch to the sleeper-overs (Michele, Beck, Mark), then lunch, then snacks, then snacks.... The Mannings took Garson out for a few hours to downtown to see the ice sculptures on the garden (http://picasaweb.google.com/peteleis/20100101ManningsGarsonCruiseBoston?authkey=Gv1sRgCNGWwpnHkbTdoAE&feat=directlink)
* Dinner (take in Tiawanese) guests included the sleeper-overs plus Karolyn Feeks and Charlie, plus the Mannings.
* Things finally quieted around 8:30p.

Wait til you see Jasper... he's growing right before our eyes... he is on the move... scooting backwards, turning around, etc... no longer stays where you put him! Here we go!

Snow coming in tomorrow. Jen supposta fly to ATL Sunday 11am for Sun-Mon biz trip (faculty conference). So, first day back to school in 2010 and I'm going it solo!

2009 was great for us... may 2010 be even better.
