Jasper 6mo report

Jasper turns 6 months old today. A few things of note:

• Friday night, Jasper slept through the night! From about 10pm to 7am I think
• Sunday eve, Jasper sat up by himself! I watched it happen on the kitchen floor... sat up, got back to hands/knees without bonking. Nice. Then lots of showing off his new skills on Monday at school.
• Doc Roth 6 mo checkup yesterday-- a good report. Is 50% weight, 25% length, and way above average for strength/abilities. Showed off his downward-facing-dog position including being on his tiptoes. Got 4 shots. Doc said: ditch the binkies now, move crib back to his room, raise the crib side, no more overnight feedings, and to get him sleeping though the night: try to have him fall asleep in the crib (so he knows where he is), and when he cries, verbally comfort him but try to not do binky, feeding or pick him up. Revisit every 10 min, if need be. So, with Garson in FLA this week (@ Disney with Grammie Bobbie and Grandpa!!), we decided to try it. Monday night report: He slept from 9:45 to 11, I woke him up to give him 5oz milk, he went right back to sleep and made it to 3:02am. Was a tough few minutes, but he fell back to sleep around 3:16am and made all the way to about 7:45am. (Though I was up @ 4:50a for rowing). So, I guess it was a successful night.
