Patriot's day moment(s)

Today is Patriot's day, and since Jasper's school (daycare) is closed, he and I had a nice day together. I took him to see his first Boston Marathon... he loved it, yelling at the runners (aaaaaahhhhh!!) From there, we headed home to Framingham where I made a chipolte grill sauce. Dad was working on rebuilding a ladder for the Birchrock boathouse (looks great) and Mom, Zoey, Jasper and I went to Callahan park for a jaunt. Jasper loves it there too. My favorite moment of the day came after the park, back in the kitchen as I was finishing up the sauce-- while Mom was holding and playing with Jasper, the phone rang and it was Senator Kerry's office calling to schedule a meeting with Mom for two days from then. Funny thought: If only Kerry knew Mom was holding a bouncy 9 month old baby while discussing support for her project :)
